SKS has been honored with the “Bio-Power 30×30 Biodiversity Impact Award” in recognition of its long-term commitment to biodiversity restoration and ecosystem co-creation through its “Farmland Ecology and Biodiversity Revitalization Initiative.”
The award was presented at the 4th Biodiversity Action Forum 2026, jointly organized by Friendly Seed, Unity Sustainability Service, and SynerGood. The forum brought together public and private sector partners, including Taiwan’s National Park Service under the Ministry of the Interior, the Jane Goodall Institute, UDN Ubrand, and TVBS, to advocate for stronger biodiversity action across industries.
As part of the event, the inaugural “Bio-Power 30×30 Biodiversity Action Awards” recognized organizations demonstrating measurable contributions toward global biodiversity goals, highlighting biodiversity as an increasingly important pillar of corporate resilience and sustainable competitiveness.
SKS was recognized for transforming its commitment to protection and safety into broader environmental stewardship. Through cross-sector collaboration and long-term investment, the Company has expanded its sustainability efforts from organic rice contract farming and food-agriculture education to solitary bee habitat restoration, agricultural waste recycling, biochar applications, and coral restoration initiatives — gradually building a circular sustainability pathway that connects farmland, communities, and marine ecosystems.
Centered on the concept of a “Nature-Friendly Agricultural Ecosystem,” the initiative brought together employees, local farmers, schools, and sustainability partners to drive collective impact. Participating organizations included the Sustainable Development Division of Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture, the Hualien District Agricultural Research and Extension Station, Ching Chu Yilan Agricultural Cooperative, yeahyeah Ltd., Shin Kong Life Foundation, TCHAR, and BlueTrend.
SKS stated that the award represents not only recognition, but also a reminder that meaningful sustainability transformation requires long-term commitment and continuous action. By extending its role beyond urban safety protection into farmland, ecosystems, and local communities, the Company aims to create positive environmental impact through biodiversity conservation, biochar innovation, and environmental education.
Looking ahead, SKS will continue integrating technology, environmental education, and cross-disciplinary partnerships to deepen its nature-positive initiatives and work alongside stakeholders to build a more resilient and sustainable future — one where protection extends beyond cities to the land and ecosystems that sustain them.
