SKS Showcases Home Emergency Response Service at the First 2026 AI IMPACT

The inaugural 2026 AI IMPACT: Smart City and Greater South Taiwan Expo was recently held in Tainan, focusing on three key themes—Smart City, Smart Healthcare, and Smart Services. The event highlighted the achievements of Southern Taiwan in smart governance and technology applications, demonstrating how technological innovation is increasingly being integrated into everyday life.
Among the featured exhibits, the Home Emergency Response Service showcased by the Department of Social Welfare at the City Dashboard Zone attracted significant attention. Developed and operated by SKS, the service integrates the home safety needs of elderly individuals living alone and persons with disabilities through a visualized Smart Care Management Dashboard and real-time alert mechanism.
When an emergency or abnormal situation occurs, the system can immediately trigger alerts and connect with relevant emergency response resources, enhancing rapid response capabilities. By leveraging technology to support proactive monitoring, the service helps shift care management from reactive intervention toward preventive protection.
On April 28, Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che stated that the exhibition focused on smart city, smart healthcare, and smart services initiatives. Among them, the Home Emergency Response Service was presented through a Smart Care Management Dashboard, strengthening community care networks and improving home safety protection for elderly individuals living alone and persons with disabilities through the application of smart technologies.
As governments and professional technology service providers continue to collaborate in driving public service innovation, smart city development is gradually evolving from a policy vision into a practical model of urban governance. Through the integration of digital technologies and public services, cities can enhance residents’ quality of life while strengthening overall urban resilience.
